Alpha Omicron Pi
"Inspire Ambition"

Alpha Omicron Pi (AOII) is founded on a set of principles designed to foster lifelong friendships, intellectual curiosity, and service to the global community.
AOII was founded on the ideals of love and friendship by college women in 1897 at Barnard College of Columbia University. From its earliest days, the organization has emphasized the importance of individual development within a supportive sisterhood.
AOII’s deep commitment to service is anchored by our international philanthropy, as well as our support for the Arthritis Foundation and Juvenile Arthritis.
Our dedication to this cause is driven by a desire to fund research, educate communities, and provide support for families affected by the disease. This commitment is demonstrated through our philanthropic events like Strike Out Arthritis, Rock On Omicron, and Can You Kick It.
"Inspire Ambition" means encouraging every woman to pursue her highest potential, whether that is achieving a difficult academic goal, seeking a challenging leadership position, or taking a risk to follow an unconventional dream. It is a promise to provide the unwavering support and belief necessary for each sister to find her path and pursue it with confidence.
Alpha Omicron Pi is defined by the strength of its sisterhood and the active practice of its values. The sisterhood provides a supportive environment where women are empowered to prioritize scholarship, lead with character, and serve with dignity.
